Corporate Responsibility
Delta-Simons is keenly aware that its business activity, and that of its stakeholder partners, has a direct and indirect impact on the social and ecological environment. We acknowledge and respect that natural resources are finite on both a regional and global scale and recognise our responsibility as a leading Environmental Consultancy to set an example of Corporate Environmental Stewardship. We are absolutely committed to minimising our impact on the environment through all levels of the business by embracing environmentally sustainable technologies and working practices wherever possible. We also work hard to use our influence to encourage suppliers and assist customers do the same.
Our Environmental Policy illustrates the commitments we have made to improve our environmental performance. Click

We passionately believe that getting on and making a positive difference to the environment is immeasurably better than doing nothing for fear of being unable to defensibly quantify the improvement. So rather than listing hollow ‘commitments’ so often found in Corporate literature, here are just ten examples of what Delta-Simons is
actually doing.
-
We run a fleet of LPG vehicles to significantly reduce CO2, CO, NOx and particulate emissions;
-
We make bio-diesel from waste cooking oil for use in our diesel vehicles and plant to reduce fossil fuel use and CO2 emissions;
-
We measure the environmental performance of our business in energy, waste, transport, key supplier performance and working practices and work to improve our performance annually;
-
We measure our corporate success as a combination of profitability, customer satisfaction, environmental performance and staff loyalty;
-
We offer interest free loans to staff to pay for LPG gas conversions for their personal vehicles, public transport season tickets, energy, water or waste-related home improvements or other personal sustainability projects;
-
We subscribe to the government's cycle to work scheme and enhance it by donating £100 to staff as our contribution to a new bicycle. When combined with the benefits of the government scheme, this means our staff can get a new bike for their commute for nothing;
-
We have undertaken a comprehensive energy audit of electrical equipment in our offices and implemented significant energy saving initiatives;
-
We have established a corporate sustainability committee to pursue new initiatives and year on year improvement in environmental performance;
-
We off-set the residual carbon emissions from our central business activities and offer to do the same for work performed for our customers; and
-
We have established partnerships with local charitable conservation and social-environmental groups and invest our 'community project fund' generated from not-for-profit carbon offsetting in habitat creation or other sustainability projects.
At a time when the scientific evidence demonstrating climate change is overwhelming and is almost universally accepted by governmental and business leaders the world over, Delta-Simons considers that the time for debate is over. We believe now is the time to turn Corporate Will into a Better Environment. We are committed to making a difference.
