Top Safety Accreditation for Delta-Simons

9th November 2009

Delta-Simons has received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK contractors.

The cutting edge scheme has been designed to help industry improve its safety record.  Under the SAFEcontractor system businesses undergo a vetting process, which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.

Dr Roger Griffiths, Technical Director, Delta-Simons commented, “We continually work very hard to enhance our health and safety practices at Delta-Simons and achieving SAFEcontractor certification status is recognition of this.  Health and safety is imperative across our business and we hope that, by setting a high standard, we can lead by example.”

In order to achieve accreditation Delta-Simons had to undergo a rigorous vetting process, which examined its health and safety procedures and its track record for safe practice.  Those companies meeting the high standards are included on a database, accessible to registered users only via www.safecontractor.com, and employer organisations who sign up to the scheme can vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site.

“We hope that having SAFEcontractor accreditation will add value to our service offering and help us particularly when looking at new business opportunities,” Roger added.  “It can only bolster our commitment to safety and will help us to play our part in raising industry standards.”
