Delta-Simons Strengthen Links with The City.

16th August 2007

Lincoln-based Delta-Simons Environmental Consultants Ltd, last week won a tender to deliver an important study on Energy and Renewable Energy for City of Lincoln Council. The purpose of the study is to inform the Council how the City could embrace improved energy management and identify feasible renewable sources of energy to help the fight against climate change. Climate change is the greatest environmental challenge facing the world today, and has become a major hot topic on the political agenda.

The project will assess how the Council can meet its obligations for renewable energy production and energy-related policies. The study is in line with the National Governments policy proposals on Climate Change, Energy and Planning.

Delta-Simons, established in 1992, has its headquarters at The Lawn in Lincoln and provides business orientated solutions to environmental problems to the private and public sectors across the UK and Ireland.  The Company provides services in markets including energy, sustainable development, carbon management, contaminated land, geotechnics and environmental performance and compliance.

Delta-Simons includes the trading name Shining EarthTM which was launched in May 2007 in response to strong and growing demand for services specifically focused on Corporate Responsibility, Carbon Footprint and Sustainability.  Its services in this area focus on enabling organisations to meet their environmental performance aspirations whilst enhancing profits and creating opportunity to market improved environmental credentials.

This opportunity with the City of Lincoln Council not only reflects the growth and diversity of the Company in the last few years, but strengthens and enhances local links with Lincolnshire and the community.
