Principal Consultant joins Environmental Planning team

Rachel Allum

We are pleased to introduce Rachel Allum as Principal Consultant to the Environmental Planning & Development team. Rachel will be based out of our Durham regional office.

Rachel brings with her a wealth of experience, and has in the past project managed large and complex multi-site portfolios for wind energy developments which involved site assessments through to obtaining planning permission for over 1600 sites for a large retail client.  Rachel has also managed Environmental Impact Assessments for a range of wind schemes and project managed multi-site portfolios for utility companies, Local Authorities and developers.

Rachel joins Delta-Simons from RXPE, a power engineering firm where she worked as a Planning Engineer/Project Manager on both UK and international projects, such as the Lake Turkana Wind Power project. Prior to that she worked at TNEI, a specialist energy and environmental consultancy where she worked on a range of feasibility studies, EIA, sub-EIA projects and planning applications for energy developments, with a particular specialism in programme and project management.

Having gained her BA (Hons) and Diploma in Town Planning at Newcastle University, Rachel is also a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a Full Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a Full Member of the Association of Project Management.
