Before joining Delta-Simons Chris gained an impressive 24 years of experience in the textile industry with Courtaulds and Sara Lee Courtaulds.  During this time he worked in the areas of production, technical support and risk management.  For the last 20 years he has been working in corporate environmental management carrying out audits in environmental compliance, management systems and energy and due diligence.  Chris works closely with Delta-Simons Inogen® global Associates and customers and brings valuable knowledge and experience to his customer base.
 
Chris has a BSc in Colour Chemistry, and is a Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and an Associate Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).  He is a Principal Environmental Auditor as well as a Chartered Environmentalist, an Advanced Environmental Management System Auditor and an Energy Auditor.  He has also completed IOSH and NEBOSH Health & Safety training.  Chris lives in Nottingham and enjoys wining, dining, gardening and watching films.

Alan Crossfield

Alan Crossfield

Senior Consultant and Unit Manager
 
Despite his youthful looks, Alan has amassed 13 years of experience in the Contaminated Land Sector.  Originally working for Delta-Simons from 1994 to 2001 he widened his experience by spending two years as a Principal Consultant with another large global environmental consultancy followed by three and a half years as Contaminated Land Officer for The City of Lincoln Council.  Alan’s main areas of expertise are contaminated land assessment, the Planning process and Brownfield liability and commercial risk.  He provides a balanced technical and commercial approach to resolving Brownfield issues.
 
Alan has a BSc (Hons) in Geography.  He is a keen squash player, playing in the Premier division in Lincoln and he also enjoys running and hill walking.  Alan lives in Lincoln with his wife Andrea.

David Denman

David Denman

Principal Ecologist & Unit Manager
David has 25 years of ecological experience ranging from wildlife trusts, government departments and environmental consultancies, and his specialisms include badgers and great crested newts. He is a full member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and has been involved with many types of development including harbours, sports venues, new towns and roads.
 
His close involvement with developers and their schemes led him to explore the commercial world, and he is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and has an MBA from Henley Management College.  For his dissertation he opted to study the implementation of business strategy. David lives in Lincoln.
