Delta-Simons category win for Cycle September Lincolnshire

  • Family bike ride in new forest

23 Nov 2020

We are pleased to announce that thanks to a handful of employees across different office locations,  won first place in the 50-199 staff size category in Cycle September Lincolnshire.

Jilly Edwards, ETS Consultant said, “Cycling has definitely been a beneficial way for my family to get its ‘outdoor fix’ during lockdown, and Cycle September provided some nice encouragement from colleagues to keep riding as the weather turned! During September we managed a few quick after work blasts, some longer weekend rides, and we were very fortunate to be able to hire some bikes during a trip away to the New Forest. Whist we have seen plenty of wildlife during September out on our bikes, I really did not expect to come across pigs roaming in the New Forest during this year’s Pannage season! (Pannage for those who haven’t come across the term before is the practice of allowing Commoners to free their domestic pigs to roam when acorns and other nuts fall from the trees) Who knows what we’ll see next!”

Tim Wheeler, Delta-Simons Associate said, “I started the September cycle; however, for me opportunities became sparse as we came out of lockdown and back to football training etc! My few rides ‘life behind bars’ were to the office as alternative transport, to the allotment for late summer evening sunshine and around the local lake!”

Love to Cycle have now published the leader boards for Cycle September and Delta-Simons didn’t do too badly at all in the Lincolnshire Category, comparing well with many of the larger businesses!
