Welcome to Simon Johnson who joins our Leeds regional office as Senior Consultant.

To support the growth of our regional offices and Environmental Planning team, we’d like to welcome Simon Johnson who joins the company from ENGIE with 9 years’ experience in the town planning field across multiple sectors.  He is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and an associate member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS).

Simon brings with him a wealth of technical and advisory experience dealing with planning applications and projects of all sizes (many of which had technical environmental planning issues) with a particular focus on larger complex schemes such as flood alleviation projects, housing sites, industrial premises, intensive livestock units and renewable energy.  Simon also has an expert knowledge of planning procedures and legislation and has taken a significant interest in Environmental Impact Assessments and studies since university dealing with numerous applications for developments at that level.

Simon has also appeared as an expert planning witness at public inquiries, presented to numerous planning committees and managed a number of important and detailed projects to date.

Rachel Allum, Environmental Planning Principal, says of Simon's appointment, ‘We are delighted to have Simon join our Environmental Planning team; his appointment further strengthens and compliments our capabilities and sector experience.  It is great to be able to expand our team and expertise with someone of Simons’ calibre and experience."
