David Jackson

Delta-Simons is pleased to welcome David Jackson to the Geo-environmental team. David joins us as a Principal Consultant and will be based in the Leeds regional office.

David has spent the last 15 years as a Contaminated Land Adviser with a Local Authority, identifying and prioritising potentially contaminated sites, as well as formally determining several sites and leading their successful remediation.   He also has significant experience of the regulation of numerous brownfield sites through the planning regime.

David graduated from Leeds University with BEng (Hons) degree in Mineral Industry and Environmental Engineering.  He is a Prince 2 Project Management Practitioner, SoBRA Executive Committee Member and a Member of the Defra Contaminated Land Expert Panel.

David’s role within the Geo-environmental team will involve supporting our clients’ projects, reviewing technical reports, providing fee proposals and mentoring staff.  His wealth of experience as a regulator will help the company to anticipate issues on projects at the planning stage, making him well placed to advise on negotiation strategies.

Mike O’Halloran, Associate Manager for the Leeds office, says “We are really pleased David has joined the team, bringing with him his extensive expertise and invaluable Local Authority experience. David is a member of several key contaminated land steering groups and committees and we look forward to using his excellent skill set to support delivery of our client’s projects going forwards.

“We’ve seen significant growth in the Leeds office and getting the right staff means that we can continue to provide our clients with the level of personable support they have come to expect from us.  Welcome to the team, David!”
