Jim Clifford

Jim Clifford joins the Delta-Simons Environment, Health & Safety team this month as Unit Director.  Jim brings over twenty years’ experience working in EHS including industry, regulatory authority and consultancy.

Jim spent the last ten years at a global environmental, health and safety consulting practice, working with prestigious clients across many sectors in the UK and internationally, and specialises in EHS auditing, compliance, management systems and supply chain/contractor performance, most recently as the HS Director for Europe and Africa. 

Jim has been a Chartered Member of IOSH since 2005 and holds the NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety. He originally qualified in BSc (Hons) Industrial and Natural Resource Chemistry from Brunel University, and also holds a MSc in Environmental Legislation and Management.

Jim is equally comfortable in low and high hazard industries. Experienced in the design, leadership and delivery of EHS compliance assessments and audits, he has worked with chemical and explosive (COMAH) facilities, heavy manufacturing, out of gauge logistics, ports and construction, both on and offshore, as well as retail, food, pharmaceutical, medical equipment and technology manufacture.  Jim has also delivered gap analysis assessments of management systems for various clients against the internationally recognised standards for quality, environment and health and safety, subsequently developing and implementing policies, procedures and systems to assist these clients achieve certification.
