EHS Compliance Consultants
We understand that ISO systems and EHS permits require legal registers and we have developed a novel way to keep legal registers up to date to improve your operational performance.
Risk assessments are equally important to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and they must be suitable and sufficient. We can help support your business by developing those assessments or acting as a competent advisor for internal H&S staff.
Services we offer
EHS Legal Registers
As part of our management systems advice or as a standalone service, we can implement or review/update legal registers for ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001(H&S management system). We carry out a gap analysis to identify missing environmental or health and safety regulations, amendments and revoked regulations that are still in the register. Invariably we find a number of key regulations or important amendments that are missing, even in ISO managed registers. We also offer a routine three-monthly update service to ensure it keeps up to date as this is commonly and easily overlooked in the busy day to day running of a business but could put your ISO accreditation at risk.
Workplace Risk and Fire Assessments
Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, employers with five or more employees have a duty to assess the risks in the workplace. We can assess your workplace/activities and risk assessments you have in place to ensure you are complying with these regulations and assist in filling any gaps identified that might put you at risk of non-compliance.
Fire risk assessments are particularly important in that they are carried out periodically to ensure insurance is valid in the case of fire incidents.
We can also carry out the following risk assessments:
- Manual handling
- Confined spaces
- Work at height
- Office building
- Occupational noise
- Server and Data Centre rooms
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Assessments allow a business to understand the risks associated with, prevention needed and control measures that can be put in place to reduce the risk of being exposed to working with particular chemicals.
COSHH Assessments are a legal requirement and require suitable and sufficient risk assessments, appropriate systems for storage and handling of chemicals and key documentation such as Material Safety Data Sheets. We can assist customers to identify and implement the appropriate control measures so they can be efficiently integrated with existing work practices, maintain compliance with the regulations and improve the safety of the work environment.
We can also help with the transition over to the new CLP regulations, to comply with the Global Harmonised labelling System and pictograms.
