Simon leads the Geo-Environmental division of Delta-Simons and sits on the Senior Leadership Team for the business. He is a contaminated land and environmental due diligence professional and project manager/director with over 20 years specialising in human health risk assessment and project management. His experience covers initial assessment through to remediation design and implementation including a strong understanding of both technical and commercial aspects.
He has an established track record working on complex and challenging sites with multiple stakeholder requirements. Experienced in the residential, commercial, industrial and legal sectors including both UK and international working. Sites include small to large (>300Ha) and complex including chemical/pharma, gasworks, oil & gas sites, munitions works and general industrial sites. His experience includes site closure projects including scoping, security, decontamination, demolition, tendering, contract monitoring and co-ordination of multi-disciplinary services. Simon has been involved in expert witness works including high profile cases with significant media attention.
Simon is experienced in providing environmental due diligence / transaction support on significant property portfolios including work for both vendor and purchaser of real estate and businesses (M&A). He has successfully undertaken rapid EDD for non-performing loan books of in excess of 5000 properties and with values exceeding £1bn for private equity clients.
Simon is passionate about the projects he gets involved in and combines his technical knowledge with a strong commercial approach to assess environmental challenges, and develop effective and economic solutions for Delta-Simons clients.
Simon is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Chartered Scientist (CSci) and is a Member of the Institute of Environmental Scientists (MIEnvSc).
Alan Crossfield is Divisional Director (Environmental Transactions Services) and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Delta-Simons Environmental Consultants Ltd, where he leads a 30+ person strong team of Environmental professionals. He has over 27 years of experience as an Environmental Consultant advising commercial clients in the Real Estate Sector on environmental risk and liability. Alan provides a balanced technical and commercial approach to resolving brownfield issues and brings strong leadership, networking and interpersonal skills.
Alan is currently a member of the Inogen Alliance Leadership Team; a global alliance of environment, health, safety and sustainability consultants.
Alex Ferguson is the Managing Director of Delta-Simons and is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary consultancy team delivering Geo-Environmental, Environmental Planning, Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Sustainability and Health & Wellbeing services across a range of sectors. Particularly focused on the Real Estate sector, but with experience across the Tech, Retail and Industrial sectors. Delta-Simons is part of the Lucion Group of companies forming the environmental consultancy arm of the group. Alex is a Board Member of the Inogen Environmental Alliance of EHS&S Consultants, an Alliance of over 70 companies with a global presence, delivering projects in over 100 countries for a range of corporate, private and public clients
Simon Brown is highly experienced in due diligence and asset management services, with focus in the commercial/industrial sector and has advised on projects all over the world for a variety of top-level clients.
An Environmental Consultant with over 25 years experience, Simon has worked at a variety of private sector consultancies, including the privatised Scientific Branch of the Greater London Council, Wimpey Environmental, Ernest Greens (now White Young Green), WSP, Capita, BWB Consulting and Delta-Simons in its former life as a joint venture between Delta's and Simon's.
Simon and his team are responsible for delivering solutions to ground risk problems for clients involved with due diligence, property transaction, asset management and the Mergers & Acquisitions Market on a national and international basis.
Simon is a member of the Executive team.
Gary is the Delta-Simons Drilling Unit Manager. Gary joined Delta-Simons in 2006 and has broad experience using a range of drilling rigs and investigation techniques for both environmental and geotechnical purposes. Gary has experience of land drilling on challenging contaminated sites on both hard and soft rock.
Since joining Delta-Simons, Jayne has specialised in environmental assessment by undertaking risk assessments for contaminated land for both due diligence (including portfolios) and development purposes. With over 15 years' experience within the environmental sector, Jayne specialises in providing budget costs associated with ground risks for development sites, as well as feasibility assessments for developments that cover ground risk, ecology and flood risk issues.
John joined Delta-Simons in 2008, and has since been involved in a range of Phase I and Phase II site investigations in the UK, Ireland and Europe, producing reports and risk assessments for planning applications, environmental statements and pre-acquisition assessments, overseeing remediation works and undertaking groundwater and gas monitoring.
Rebecca joined the company in 2007 as Project Coordinator, and is now HR & Business Support Manager. Rebecca is also a member of the Executive team.
Tom joined Delta-Simons in July 2013, having gained over 10 years' previous experience working in the UK geo-environmental sector. Tom is a commercially focused consultant, having undertaken numerous due diligence and asset management assessments for a range of well-known multi-national organisations.
Tom has also gained significant experience in the retail, industrial and residential property sectors, and regularly provides expert advice relating to a range of greenfield and brownfield land challenges, including remediation requirements, shallow coal mining risks and waste classification matters.
