He is a contaminated land and environmental due diligence professional and project manager/director with over 20 years specialising in human health risk assessment and project management. His experience covers initial assessment through to remediation design and implementation including a strong understanding of both technical and commercial aspects.
He has an established track record working on complex and challenging sites with multiple stakeholder requirements. Experienced in the residential, commercial, industrial and legal sectors including both UK and international working. Sites include small to large (>300Ha) and complex including chemical/pharma, gasworks, oil & gas sites, munitions works and general industrial sites. His experience includes site closure projects including scoping, security, decontamination, demolition, tendering, contract monitoring and co-ordination of multi-disciplinary services. Simon has been involved in expert witness works including high profile cases with significant media attention.
Simon is experienced in providing environmental due diligence / transaction support on significant property portfolios including work for both vendor and purchaser of real estate and businesses (M&A). He has successfully undertaken rapid EDD for non-performing loan books of in excess of 5000 properties and with values exceeding £1bn for private equity clients.
Simon is passionate about the projects he gets involved in and combines his technical knowledge with a strong commercial approach to assess environmental challenges, and develop effective and economic solutions for Delta-Simons clients.
Simon is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Chartered Scientist (CSci) and is a Member of the Institute of Environmental Scientists (MIEnvSc).
